Little Leverage Moments - Part 11/?

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense that he would be drafted, but I always liked the idea that he wasn’t drafted, you know, that he made the choice to enlist himself because I always thought that he, uh… When I read up on the comics, he was, you know, given his family background. He was always sort of following his dad’s footsteps, which would always had been in the army. So, he gave him — it kinda gave him no choice that he had made on his own to become — to be in the army, which later for me kinda gave him that angst to be unsure whether or not he wanted to be there." My roommates went to Davis to buy a mop and broom, and get dinner (since we obviously can’t cook now) and I was like “I’m just gonna go in my room and have a stress-cry real quick while your gone”

Welp. Second day in the apartment went really well, until the oven caught fire and the friendly neighborhood Fire Department got involved.

"I’m terrible at goodbyes. But sleep soundly, in the knowledge that I just wanna be yours, baby." (Alex Turner, Reading Festival, 23.08.2014)

____-_What it was going to be, we were trying to complicate the relationship between Cap and his S.H.I.E.L.D agent friends,” Joe Russo told Screenrant. “If Hawkeye got a call from S.H.I.E.L.D saying Captain America is a fugitive, would he listen to that call or not listen to that call? That sequence actually was heartbreaking for us to cut it. I think it ultimately might have been a conflict with Renner’s schedule. But there was a great sequence where Hawkeye was chasing Cap through Washington D.C. there was an awesome sequence where they confronted each other in a ravine on the outskirts of D.C. and Hawkeye was shooting a series of arrows closing in on Cap, Cap closing in on him. And then Cap took him down and he realized for the first time that Hawkeye was trying to trick S.H.I.E.L.D, where he whispered something into Cap’s ear that Cap had a tracker on his suit and to punch Hawkeye to make it look real, because there was a Quinjet hovering above where they were watching the feedback back at S.H.I.E.L.D.

Captain America: the Winter Soldier co-director Joe Russo on Hawkeye’s scripted cameo, which was cut from the film due to scheduling conflicts.

It’s a shame this scene was cut from the film, as it would’ve added a nice layer to Renner’s Hawkeye that we haven’t explicitly seen before— namely, that he prioritizes personal loyalties over institutionalized rules. That’s a core part of 616 Clint’s character, and an aspect I’d love to see cinematic Hawkeye share with him.
